A custom order to a big Bruins fan: a small hockey puck from paper based off his favorite team’s logo.
This illustration is only 6×6″ framed, and is referenced directly from the pucks used by the Bruins team. All hand cut carefully to be as precise as possible (after all, I was trying to emulate a real font with the type!)
For the background I wanted to keep it very simple while still having it look like it is possibly a real puck sliding across the ice. I created this effect by using a reflective/metallic paper as the background and streaking white acrylic paint across it to look like skid marks across the frosted ice.
